Join Us, NFA, SEC, and FINRA for Avoiding Fraud Webinar on Monday

On April 24, the CFTC’s Office of Customer Education and Outreach will join the National Futures Association, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Investor Education and Advocacy and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation for a webinar to educate the public about how to avoid financial scams and the importance of conducting due diligence.

During the one-hour webinar, Avoiding Fraud is Your Best Money Strategy, experts from each organization will provide participants with tools and resources to help them identify investment fraud warning signs.

This webinar is part of a series of activities promoting financial education that will take place during MoneySmart Week, a nationwide public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. Coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Money Smart Week runs from Saturday, April 22 to Saturday, April 29. To find a MoneySmart Week event near you, click here.

There is no charge to attend the webinar; however, registration is required. Once you are registered, you will receive an email containing all access information, including the website for the webinar and information on system requirements.
